Stokkseyri Camping site

One of the musesum is the hunting museum with stuffed animals from all over the world.  The ghost museum is another museum where guests can walk around and hear ghost stories from the area.  The elf, troll and northern lights museum is also worth a visit.

The camp site in the village has been improved.  Toilet facilities, electricity and waste disposal added.  Electricity has been improved and more connections will be added before the summer season starts. A playground was also added for the children and a walking path to the center of the village.  A public bus goes to the village of Eyrarbakki and the town Selfoss regularly so other activities in the neighborhood are close by.

Við Fjöruborðið is a popular restaurant in Stokkseyri that is well known for lobster and other desirable courses.  The store Skálinn offers gas and groceries.  The swimming pool is small but cosy with hot tubs and a childrens pool as well as a water slide.  The pool is open all days during summer and with free admission for children younger than 18 years.  Many other recreations are available such as sailing kayaks and fishing in the river Hraunsá.
