Guesthouse Selfoss

Gesthús Selfoss offers a lovely campsite and RV park in the heart of Selfoss – the perfect spot for relaxing.

The campsite and RV park are among the best in Iceland because of its great facilities and location. All our campsite and RV park guests have access to a separate service center with WC, hot showers, a big dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. We offer free Wi-Fi connection in public areas, and there are washing machines and dryers for guests to use for a small fee.

We have plenty of hot water for long and relaxing showers, but as common in Iceland, our hot water smells like sulfur as it comes straight from the ground. The smell occurs simply because of its awesome natural origins. And yes, opposite to our hot water that is not made for drinking, only for bathing, our cold water is awesome. It will be one of the best drinks you will have in Iceland, and it is for free! A good practice is though, to let the cold water run a bit from the tab so the cold and hot water won't mix!

In the summertime, we offer a breakfast buffet from 7:30 – 09:30, and guests can buy coffee, tea, soda, and beer every day in our service center.

We have two hot tubs on-site for guests that wish to relax, open from 17 – 22. There is nothing better than to relax in warm water under the midnight sun or the northern lights after a long & adventureful day. 

Our RV park is great for guests preferring comfort in motor homes, campers, and caravans. We offer electric hook-ups in 40 pitches, motor-home toilets can be emptied at a chemical disposal point, and drinking water can be filled.

The location is amazing! At Gesthús, you are within a 5-minute walking distance from the public swimming pool and a huge children's playground. The city center is located within 10 minutes walking distance along with supermarkets, the post office, and various restaurants.

Glæsileg aðstaða

Tjaldsvæði Gestshúsa er stórt og fallegt. Aðstaðan er til fyrirmyndar og staðsetningin einstaklega góð. Mikil veðursæld er á svæðinu þar sem jaðrar þess eru skógi vaxnir. Gestir hafa aðgang að glæsilegri þjónustumiðstöð með snyrtingum, sturtum, eldunaraðstöðu og stórum matsal. Norðan við tjaldmiðstöðina er svæði þar sem hægt er að losa úr ferðasalernum og vatnstönkum sem og slanga til að fylla neysluvatn. Í og við þjónustumiðstöð er í boði frítt þráðlaust internet.

Svæðið skiptist í tvö aðskilin svæði, annars vegar svæði fyrir tjöld og hins vegar svæði fyrir húsbíla, tjaldvagna og fellihýsi með aðgangi að rafmagni. Rafmagnstenglar eru 40 talsins. Á vagnsvæðinu eru rólur fyrir börn og Grýlupottar sem þykja vinsælir hjá yngri kynslóðinni.

Heitir pottar eru á svæðinu og standa gestum til boða gegn vægu gjaldi. Börn yngri en 18 ára skulu vera í fylgd forráðamanna. Pottarnir eru opnir á opnunartíma þjónustumiðstöðvar.  

Morgunverður er framreiddur í þjónustumiðstöð frá 07:30 – 09:30. Í þjónustumiðstöð er boðið upp á kaffi, gos og vínveitingar. Þjónustumiðstöðin er opin til kl. 23.00 á sumrin og kl. 20.00 á veturna.

Tjaldsvæðið er staðsett í göngufæri við miðbæinn, sundlaugina, íþróttavöllinn, veitingastaði og matvöruverslun.
