Bláfjöll Skiing Area

Bláfjöll Recreation and Ski Center, the biggest skiing resort in Iceland, is a half an hour's drive from Reykjavík. There are 14 lifts in 2 different areas of Bláfjöll, including 2 chair lifts. They can carry up to 12.000 persons per hour. At night all the major slopes are well lit.

-Weather permitting 3,5 and 10 km tracks for cross-country skiing are compressed, 5 km of which are illuminated.

-Service center including restaurant

-Hire of equipment.

-Skiing instruction weekends or on request.

-Daily buses from Reykjavík when the skiing area is open.
