Viking Tours offers private tours of the island in luxury cars, bus tours for groups, lava-walks in the new lava field, and guided hikes to Eldfell, the volcano. Our tours cover the history of the Westman Islands, geology, society, and especially true experiences from the locals about Heimaey eruption, both dramatic and funny stories from that horrifying night when the earth split open and 5000 people had to evacuate in an unbelievable short time.
