Stable Stop is situated in the beautiful Hörgárdalur close to Akureyri capital of North Iceland.

We take you on a unique horse riding adventure.

To be free in the mountains on horseback is nothing short of breathtaking. Join us for the 1 1/2 hour Deacon Tour on horseback to the mountains. You will have multiple opportunities to tölt your horse, a special gait known to Icelandic horses. At the end of every tour we invite you to join us for coffee and light home made refreshments. All skill levels welcome from beginner to expert riders.
