Hauganes Camping Area

Hauganes Campsite is located in the peaceful fishing village of Hauganes on the Eyjafjörður coast, just 20 minutes from Akureyri and 10 minutes from Dalvík. Open during the summer season, the campsite welcomes tents, caravans, camper vans and motorhomes.

Facilities include electrical hookups, toilets, hot showers, dishwashing facilities and laundry facilities. A newer camping area with additional electric pitches offers spacious sites in a quiet setting.

Just a short walk from the campsite are the Hauganes Hot Tubs (Fjöruböðin) , a unique seaside bathing area with hot tubs, showers and changing facilities. The nearby Baccalá Bar, local fis h shop, souvenir store and the whale watching company Whales offering whale watching tours are all within easy walking distance.

Whether you're planning to relax by the fjord, soak in the hot tubs or head out on a whale watching adventure, Hauganes Campsite is an excellent base for exploring Eyjafjörður.
