Guesthouse 1×6 is a unique family-run boutique bed&breakfast designed and created by a local artist, located in the old cultural part of the town of Keflavik – Iceland, overlooking the ocean and surrounded by museums, restaurants and much more!

Yukiyo and Andi – a binational couple from Japan and Switzerland – are now owning and running Guesthouse 1×6. They recently moved to Iceland because they truly love this stunning country.

Ecological Guesthouse 1×6 was created by local artist Daniel Hjörtur Sigmundsson, who creates out of what he has in his hands at any given time, reusing, recycling, creating an alternative to whatever is inside the box, refined and polished. His aim was to to make a difference in creating an environment that gives people the feeling of love, care, warmth and that we should always put an effort to our everyday life, it is the now that matters.

Attention to detail is paramount and the wellbeing of our guests ensured by the singular choice of building material, 1×6 is the size in inches of the timber used to create the unique interior.

You are invited to enjoy the one of a kind thermal bath in the garden with a temperature of around 40° Celsius.

Along with even more details and services of the owners as well as a highly rated deluxe breakfast with homemade bread and maybe the best coffee in Iceland, Guesthouse 1×6 is a real gem. We believe that at this house, you will feel very comfortable and simply happy.
