Neskaupstaður Campsite

The camping ground is in a beautiful panoramic viewpoint near the avalanche defence structure in Drangagil, just above the street Víðimýri. On-site are showers, lavatories, electricity, playground, and a beach volleyball field. On and by the avalanche defence structure are many walking paths and from there you can enjoy the spectacular view over the village, the fjords, and mountains. Tourist information centre is at the entrance of Neskaupstaður swimming pool which is open all year round. 

At this camping ground you will find: 

WC, hot and cold water, tourist information centre (600 m), disposal of garbage and waste, electricity, benches and tables, mountain view, playground, sports field, shower, swimming pool and hot tubs (600 m), gym (600 m), restaurants and coffee shop (600 m), liquor store (600 m), supermarket (1 km), gas station (1 km), walking trails, fishing, horse rental (6 km), golf course (6 km), hospital (300 m). 

Open fire is not permitted and dogs are allowed on a leash.

Price:

Adults: 2000 ISK per person/per night + accommodation tax 

Senior citizens and disabled: 1750 ISK + accommodation tax 

Children 0 ISK – Under 16 years old 

Electricity 1000 ISK per day

The camping ground is open between June 1^st – August 31^st .
