The Coocoo's Nest is a small family restaurant located in Reykjavik Iceland, inspired from California and Italy.
Chef & artist Lucas Keller is from California, he studied & worked in culinary in Italy.
Co-owner & wife, Iris Ann, is a photographer and visual artist from Reykjavik.
THE MENUS
During weekdays they offer a healthy & tasty deli lunch menu with salads, soups, & sandwiches made with homemade sourdough bread. In the evenings, the restaurant becomes more Italian influenced. On Wednesday & Thursday nights they offer gourmet sourdough pizzas. Friday & Saturday nights boasts of a more complex dinner menu with select choices of starters, homemade pastas, meats or fish & a few well-chosen desserts.
All days they offer aperitivo from 17-19 (Italian happy hour, little tasters come with each drink)
The Coocoo's Nest also prides itself in offering a comfortable surrounding for private parties with customized catering.
